Madonna's new album "MDNA"

So, being a gay man, many people automatically assume me & Madge are like two peas in a pod, I wear pink all the time and scream at the sight of a rainbow...in fact, it couldn't be further from the truth. Me and Steven are just like 2 "normal" lads, yeah I guess I have got a bit of an airy-fairy side to me, who hasn't?

I got given Madonna's new album "MNDA". Ive only got 2 songs in and it's absolutely amazing. Ive always been a fan of psytrance mixed in with a bit of cybergoth, and a few years ago (before it got everywhere, I fell in love with dub step) anyway, Madge's album, 2nd song Gang Bang is by far, for me, the best song she's done, probably ever.

Half way through it remixes into a dubstep track, blew me away. Check out the song on YOUTUBE. No videos as such yet, but I can't wait to see it...!

Even as I type, the 3rd song's just come on..."Im addicted" yeah Madge, OK you've won me over...I can feel the gay taking over me...and I don't care! ha ha.

Track listing:

- Girls Gone Wild
- Gang Bang
- I'm Addicted
- Some Girls
- I Don't Give A
- Turn Up the Radio
- Give Me All Your Luvin'
- B-day Song
- Superstar
- I'm a Sinner
- Masterpiece
- Falling Free
- Love Spent
- I F***ed Up
- Beautiful Killer

Her sound has totally changed over the years, the 3rd track I'm addicted has vibes of underground tunes, darker clubs and more hard-core raving, which surprising is what I am all about, it's the hippie side to me...!!

I totally recommend buying her album!

Give it a try, she's converted me, and Ive never really been a fan of Madge. Ive even gone so far as to look for her tour videos to see what she's like in concert...totally embracing the gay side to me...why not?!

Happy dancing!

Love, Xander. xXx

US Actress: Rooney Mara from "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo"

Rooney Mara (born April 17, 1985) is an American film and television actress. She made her acting debut in 2005 and has gone on to star in films including the remake of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "The Social Network".

Our favourite role of hers, has to be the heroine she layer as Lisbeth Salander, the title character in the 2011 version of the film "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" - the first of three Sony Pictures films based on Stieg Larsson’s Millennium book series. She received critical acclaim and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama...and not to mention, she totally kicks ass!

Rooney is involved in outside projects & charities. Not only is she an amazing actress, but she puts her fortune where her mouth is, and works to help others (which was the icing on the cake really for us) She oversees the charity Uweza Foundation, which supports empowerment programs for children and families in the Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya, which is one of the largest slums in Africa.

For us as an ethical brand, this really fit true to our hearts and we were won over! Theres none of this *celebrity* front with her...and whats more, her fashion sense is amazing. The Golden Globe awards this year, Rooney rocked up in this cut-out gown by Nina Ricci, when asked about what she was wearing, she simply replied:

“I didn’t have an idea in mind when we started, but this was the first dress I tried, and I decided right there. It’s comfortable and that’ the most important thing.”

She's a girl who goes for comfort, without compromising her style - WIN!

Her natural beauty, and her fashion sense then landed her on the front cover of Vogue UK, shot by Jonathan Van Meter - again another win!

For the film "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" Mara's makeup was done by Pat McGrath and costumes were created by Trish Summerville. Rocker hairstylist D'Anilo cut her hair, shaved the sides, bleached her eyebrows and dyed her hair black. All in one sitting. Mara admits the brows were the biggest shock. (Much as they were for Saorise Ronan - Another girl after our own hearts, who had to have hers bleached for her role in Hanna last year and told FASHTrack, "I was walking around Berlin feeling like I had no face.)"

We totally recommend the film - its well worth a watch! ...and another one is HANNA. Both Amazing! (pics to follow of Saorise)

Re-Look: Model Nyane Lebajoa

We first met the very talented Nyane, back in 2009 when she was just turned 16. We knew instantly that she was one to watch out for. Being a petit model, the industry tends to stay away from girls less than 5'7 but we just loved Nyane's perfectly shaped bone structure in her face and her proportions. Being a petit model, Nyane shot tall...not just that, but we couldn't get enough of her striking beauty.

Now 2 years later, we were right, Nyane's modelling career has sky rocketed with her being agency represented, and featuring on the front cover of many, many magazines all over the world!

Nyane not only lives fashion she breathes it. Studying textiles in University, she not only models clothing, but she makes the clothes she wears as well. She understands fashion, and she understands garment construction which, in this industry, to understand the dynamics of clothing gives you an edge over the competition.

Embracing her African roots, Nyane both embraces her culture which shines effortlessly through in some of the concept shoots she has appeared in. She is highly diverse in every aspect she models in and out shines (in our eyes) other models she us up against.

As a brand, we are so proud to have worked with Nyane before the success of her career kicked off. We have always backed her as a model and are just so glad to see how far she has to come!

We predict even bigger things for Nyane....Vogue UK take notice...petit models are biting back with a vengeance!

Interview with model: Georgina May Jagger

At the tender age of 17, Georgia May Jagger is already being hailed as a style icon. Recently signed to London's TESS management which also represents her mother and older sister Elizabeth Jagger, Georgia starred in the latest Hudson Jeans' advertising campaign, and has also graced the front cover of the most recent issue of fashion bible Vogue UK magazine, shot by renowned photographer Mario Testino.

Blessed with the genetic dream team of Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger, she has cultivated her own unique style. Founded on her perfect pout and trademark gap-toothed smile her striking look has those in the know touting her as the one to watch, already gracing the pages of style bibles Vogue, Dazed and Confused, i-D and Love magazine.

Until now Georgia has mainly been focussing on studying for Sociology, Photography and Fine Arts A-Levels. School comes first and she only works at weekends and during the school holidays. Georgia is the style crowd’s go-to girl of the moment. She is widely quoted as having a unique and distinct personal style, alongside a warm and ‘dead normal’ personality.

With i-D declaring her ‘a young Bridget Bardot’, this is Georgia May Jaggers moment – watch this space!

INTERVIEW

Q: Why did you decide to work with Rimmel?
My agent asked me to go in when I was 15, I was way too young but I remember that I was asked to say ‘get the London look’ and I felt rather silly!! Then when I was 17 I signed with them because it’s the perfect fit between me and them being British and all.

Q: What’s your top beauty tip?
I usually like either just a lip, or just eyes. I tend to stick to that when I am doing my own make up.

Q: What make-up bag must haves are in your bag?
Liquid eyeliner for a cat flick, I also have a spf moisturiser ALWAYS, soft smudgy black pencil, 3 shades of red, and I tend to mix them. Oh yes, and I wouldn’t leave the house without my eyelash curlers.

Q: What do you think the coolest part of London is, and why?
Camden, love the flea market and there is always great music going on down there.

Q: What do you miss when you’re not in London?
Mainly my mum and dogs, cats and chickens. The culture, the galleries are so wicked there, and the English sense of humour.

Q: How do you stay looking fresh and healthy everyday?
Some days I look a mess, you should of seen me after my A-levels I felt 10 years older. I suppose that being happy helps and having good food, making sure I eat a balanced diet. I have great massage at least once a fortnight. Facials also are very important. Never ever go to bed without cleansing

Q: What do you do to stay healthy?
I walk everywhere, I don’t drive, not sure I want to either. I get a lot of sleep, without fail I get 8 hours. I drink a lot of water.

Q: What advice would you give a tourist in London?
Go to all the Galleries, take the boat down the river. Have fish and Chips!!!

Hope you enjoyed reading!

Awww poor George...

George used to sit happily on the side cupboard in the living room.

One day mummy moved the guinea pig cage next to the sideboard.

George looked on helplessly as the children ran around in the living room.

One of the children bumped into the sideboard.

George tumbled down to the ground and into the guinea pig cage.

The guinea pigs spotted George laying amongst the hay.

George sadly got his face eaten off. That was the end of him.

We couldn't stop laughing when we read this story on our Facebook page! We just had to post it!

Kinky Knickers by Mary Portas

Have you been tuning into Mary’s Bottom Line on Channel 4?

Several months ago, Mary Portas took things into her own hands and began breathing life back into a Manchester suburb with her new business venture. Mary’s Kinky Knickers has thus far provided jobs for 8 apprentices in Middleton, giving the community a fresh injection of pride and a glimmer of hope that if this succeeds, others might well follow suit.

While Britain cannot compete with China, the hope is that consumers won’t mind paying a little bit extra for something home-grown and of fabulous quality.

The knickers are stocked at High Street giants now and were officially launched on Valentine's day 2012. You can find them online at:

Liberty
M&S
House of Fraser
