Hannah Goff A/W ’13 look book

Metallics, miss-printed patterns, creepers, skin tight leggins and androgynous tailoring. We are in love. Not to mention the purple metallic baseball cap!

Fever Ray

Theres nothing more in the world than I love in music, couple that with the finding new music and I'm just in love. Last night, having tea with the other half something happened to me while we were eating.

We had the radio on (as we always do, we dont own a TV - or want to own a TV foir that matter) anyway, and this song came on by a Swedish band called Fever Ray. It. Was. Fantastic!

Kinda Sigur Ros-esq but with lyrics we could actually understand! So, couple this with out of this world creativity, art work to die for and a shit load of synths, violins and wierd sounds and that pretty much sums up the band Fever Ray!

Check them out on soundcloud HERE.

And some of my favourite art work by them below. ENJOY!!

Why Do So Many People Hate Gwyneth Paltrow? Let Us Count the Ways

Gwyneth Paltrow may have just had the honor of world’s most beautiful woman bestowed upon her by People magazine, but she won another, less coveted title, recently: most hated celebrity.

You probably get the "most beautiful" part: tall, thin, blond, perfect teeth, perfect skin. But if the "most hated" part has you scratching your head (who could hate the girl from "Shallow Hal" who used to date Brad Pitt and won an Oscar?), allow us to explain.

Thanks to Gwyneth’s recent stab at becoming a lifestyle/nutrition/fashion/travel/parenting expert with her personal blog, pay-for-apps, multiple cookbooks, advice-laden interviews, and strong feelings about gluten, the mom of two has been sharing her tips and tricks with the world, proving along the way to be a bit out of touch with the way most of the population lives and landing herself a reputation as an elitist.

No “I’m a celebrity, but I’m just like you, average working mom!” fakery here. More like "I’m a celebrity, but I’m just like you, wealthy person who can afford a personal trainer and is probably looking for a good organic wine bar to visit during your next jaunt to Paris."

Read on for the top 10 examples of why the Oscar winner ticks off the rest of us.

10. She has her own pizza oven … and she wants you to know about it.
"We've got a wood-burning pizza oven in the garden -- a luxury, I know," she wrote in her 2011 cookbook "My Father’s Daughter," “but it's one of the best investments I've ever made." She also touted it on her goop blog: "As a home cook, one of the best things I've ever done was to build a wood burning oven in the back yard. I use this thing all the time, especially now that it is spring." Grrr. Pass the Pizza Hut.

Tune in to the 'Iron Man 3' Premiere Live on Yahoo! Movies

9. She couldn't get through an interview without breaking into a yoga routine.
During a 2012 interview with Harper’s Bazaar during which she addressed her detox plan; gluten, dairy, and sugar, allergies’ and being in tune with her adrenal cortex, it became clear Gwyneth had been popping good-for-your-posture yoga poses while the writer was interviewing her. You may be able to get through an hour or two without stretching, but for Paltrow, it’s out of the question. "Gwyneth's calm beauty is striking, as is her extraordinary discipline," the article’s author gushed. "As she falls naturally into yoga stretches during the course of the conversation, supple as a cat, you realize that this is a woman for whom working out has become essential." Clearly.

8. She thinks she’s a 'bad mutha.'
When hubby Chris Martin isn’t home, Paltrow told the London Evening Standard earlier this month, “I turn on the hip-hop -- I'm like a bad mutha rapping along to every word as I cook." Ugh.

7. She refused to walk down the street once. (Hey, Gwyneth likes to pay for her exercise, remember?)
Last April, when an event at her designer pal Stella McCartney’s boutique continued with a dinner at an eatery four doors down, she had her chauffeur drive her while the rest of the guests, including her own husband, Chris Martin, Miranda Kerr, and a then-74-year-old Jane Fonda, walked. Her rep said she wanted to drive to avoid the paps. Likely story.

6. She can cook for dozens without batting an eye (while you’re struggling to get dinner on the table for a family of four).
"After three years of hard work, my cookbook is finished, and in stores!” she wrote on goop when her first book of recipes was published in April 2011. “To celebrate the release, I made dinner for 60 friends and foodies.” We're going to cook dinner for 60 friends and foodies too some day. First, we just have to make 60 friends first. All of whom are foodies. And then publish a cookbook. So maybe this won't actually happen.

5. She insists that you too can have flawless skin like she does … you just have to go to France.
"Many of the absolute best beauty products I've found come from regular French pharmacies," the "Iron Man" leading lady insisted on her blog in January 2011. "I always stock up on these items when I’m in France or ask friends to bring some back when they’re passing through. Below is a list of all of my favorites." Because really, who among us doesn't have a friend heading to Paris on a regular basis?

4. She insulted the cupboards of Americans everywhere.
"I would rather die than let my kids eat Cup-a-Soup." she once told Conan O’Brien. Well, then you’d have motherless children, Gwyneth. Motherless children who might very well eat Cup-a-Soup. And then what?

3. She likes to think of her body as an inspiration to the rest of us.
"It's so much easier to sit home and not exercise and criticize other people. What I love is inspiring people,” the actress said in Elle’s September 2011 issue. “People come up to me and say, 'I want to have two kids and wear a bathing suit and not feel terrible about myself. I see how hard you work and it makes me feel like I can do that too.'" Thanks, Gwynnie!

2. She explained her reasoning for launching goop … and it's just as ridiculous as we imagined.
“When you go to Paris and your concierge sends you to some... restaurant because they get a kickback, it's like, no. Where should I really be?” the unabashedly fit 40-year-old shared in the same issue of Elle. "Where is the great bar with organic wine? Where do I get a bikini wax in Paris? People know that I know that..." Yes, you do!

1. She shared her picks for spring wardrobe must-haves with goop readers earlier this year. And If you decided to actually buy every one of her recommendations, you'd have to shell out nearly half a million dollars.
Turns out $80 Valentino iPad cases, $3,570 leather jackets, $1,150 Gucci sunglasses, and $475 hand-woven shorts really do add up. We can hear the conversations in kitchens across America now. “Sorry, Billy. We really wanted to send you to college but mommy took Gwyneth Paltrow's wardrobe advice a few years back. It was probably the wrong decision, but at least you'll always know you had the most fashionable mom in the PTA."

Re-look: Alexander McQueen VOSS Spring/Summer 2001

In McQueen’s Words

“There’s blood beneath every layer of skin.”
The Observer Magazine, October 7, 2001

In McQueen’s Words
“My friend George and I were walking on the beach in Norfolk, and there were thousands of [razor-clam] shells. They were so beautiful, I thought I had to do something with them. So, we decided to make [a dress] out of them. . . . The shells had outlived their usefulness on the beach, so we put them to another use on a dress. Then Erin [O’Conner] came out and trashed the dress, so their usefulness was over once again. Kind of like fashion, really.”

Drake releases 'Girls Love BeyoncĂ©’ featuring hook from Destiny's Child hit 'Say My Name'

It looks like Beyonce isn't the only one cashing in on her famous reputation — rapper Drake, not her husband Jay-Z, — has released a new song called "Girls Love BeyoncĂ©."

On Monday night Drake, 26, shared the beat-laden tune, which also borrows from Destiny's Child hit song "Say My Name."

"These days it's hard to meet women / Feel like my love life is finished," the sometimes-crooner sings. "I've been avoiding commitment / That's why I'm in this position."

Though the song doesn't mention Beyoncé much, Drake enlists the help of singer-songwriter James Fauntleroy to reprise the hook Mrs. Carter and the ladies of Destiny's Child made famous.

We love B!! Let us know what you think? Is it fair to cash in on her name or is all fairs fair in the world of music??

Love,

STELLA MCCARTNEY tops the internet

STELLA MCCARTNEY has been named the most-searched-for fashion brand on the internet. The designer, who created the Olympic Team GB kit and was named British Fashion Awards' Designer of the Year, was ranked the highest fashion-related search term in the 2012 Google Zeitgeist list.

In second place was Karl Lagerfeld, closely followed by lingerie label Victoria's Secret in third, Alice Temperley in fourth and Versace in fifth place. The annual round-up conducted by Google measures the fastest-growing searches conducted by UK consumers over the last 12 months.

The Duchess of Cambridge was crowned one of the most-searched-for people of 2012 - specifically, her pre-married name, Kate Middleton - second only to Whitney Houston, who died back in February. Third most-Googled star of 2012 was Gary Barlow, followed by fellow X Factor judge Tulisa in fourth place and Olympian Jessica Ennis in fifth.

The most-searched term overall was Euro 2012, proving that the football tournament attracted more online interest than the London 2012 Games. Olympics Tickets was the second most-popular search term of 2012.

The most popular film was, perhaps unsurprisingly, Skyfall - followed by sci-fi thriller Prometheus in second, and The Hunger Games in third. The top trending music artists were named as former X factor contestant Lucy Spraggan, the Military Wives choir and The Voice judge, Will.I.Am.
