SS18 Jewellery preview - what direction are we going?

One of the things that I always loved about working in head office in my career was knowing what styles were being developed for the season ahead. I always shopped backwards to what season were in the shops and well, my wardrobe was always a bit confusing...

For spring next year, I have been inspired by flowers - who'd have thought it right, florals, in spring? (A little quote then from The Devil Wears Prada) anyway, I've been looking at dread flowers and how they can be incorporated in jewellery. One of my favourite styles that we have developed is this Daisy necklace that features a flat fairy pressed between two pieces of glass.

We've got a whole range of dried flowers coming out, I just can't wait for Christmas to be over and done with and then this beautiful new range will be launching!! In the mean time, check out whats gone live now at Lookagain.

Emi Jewellery - Look Books + Campaigns

Its so nice to look back over the years since I started the brand in 2009 to see where the company has grown to now include a team and I can say we are a "we" in 2017. 

For the past 8 years I have been growing Emi, it almost feels as if its imprinted into my DNA. When you know you're on the right path with something, you can feel it inside of you growing - its just a amazing thing to then take a step back and think, WOW, I/We have achieved all of this!

I spent some time going through all the campaigns over the years and it was lovely to see them in chronological order. Check them out below, from the very first campaign I shot on a cold beach in Swansea in the Fall of 2010 to shooting in the studios at Freemans.com.

New collection: Fable FW17 Collection now online at Freemans.com

We're a sucker for newness here at Emi. One of the brands that we have been following closely since their launch over at Freemans.com is a brand called Fable.

Inspired by London, England their FW17 collection comes in a pastel colour pallet and features light, on-trend embroidery all over. They have also expanded their range and now offer earrings, scarves & brand new shapes in bags.

SS18 Jewellery trend: Coral Necklaces

Taking from the FashionUnited website one of the key trends highlighted for SS18 is the return of the coral theme. If you've been with us since 2009, you'll remember that we did a small range of bright coral necklaces in SS14 which carried on through into a muted pallet in FW14. (images below)

It was probably around the same time that Desigual launched their infamous coral necklace too (images also below) 

But while Desigual's coral necklace may be at the end of its life cycle now (all of the 3 above styles have now gone into sale) We're proudly re-introducing a new shape for SS18. We've already received back our samples and we've got everything ready to launch. Check out the capsule collection, in just plain gold & silver below.

These will be available next year from Freemans.com.
